Hosted Swim Meets
Island Swimming hosts two annual invitational meets and a some time trials each season. Every other March, we host Winter Provincial Championships - our next one is 2027, when we will also co-host Canadian Swimming Trials.
Running swim meets takes a huge number of volunteers. The 2026/27 volunteer requirement is HERE
The Annual Bennett Cup
November 6 - 8, 2026
The Bennett Cup is held every November in memory of Randy Bennett who contributed to the advancement of swimming at the local, national, and international level.
The Bennett Cup is a Short Course Meet and is open to SWIM BC (or FINA related) registered swimmers who meet the minimum time standards for the meet.
Medley Challenge Long Course Invitational
May 14 - 16, 2027
The Medley Challenge is Long Course Meet that celebrates all four traditional competitive strokes, culminating in the ever popular Eliminator event.
For this year, the Medley Challenge will have five sessions: Friday pm; Saturday am/pm; and Sunday am/pm. It is open to SWIM BC (or FINA related) registered swimmers who meet the minimum time standards for the meet.
