Island Swim Skills Team (ISST) For swimmers from 6 - 11. Minimum Swimmer Level 4

Island Swim Skills Team offers 16 available practice times and days at Commonwealth (SCP) and Juan de Fuca (JDF) pools.
Choose the best 2, 3 or 4 days and times for your family schedule. At practice, swimmers will be placed in lanes based on age and swimming ability. When they are ready to advance, your swimmer will be moved to the more advanced lane. No need to change schedules or practice times.
ISST is suitable for swimmers from 6 - 11 who have previous ISST experience or are a minimum of Swimmer Level 4. Swimmers MUST be comfortable in deep water and able to complete 25 meters in the pool - coaches are not in the water for this program.
Introduction to ISST (for swimmers previously assessed by our coaches for the ISST program)

This special program is for swimmers who have been assessed by our coaches for the ISST program and aren't quite ready.
Practices are Saturday mornings: 8:15 - 9:00am
Sessional registration for 10 weeks: October 10 - December 12
Conditioning & Technique (For swimmers from 11 - 18)
Swimmers must be capable of swimming 150 metres continuously and be comfortable in deep water.
NEW this season: C & T Competitive for swimmers who want to attend sanctioned swim meets during the season. Swimming Canada registration and associated meet entry fees will apply.
Conditioning & Technique
- This group has 4 available practices per week. Swimmers can choose from 1 - 4 practices on the days and times that are most convenient.
Registration for the 2026/27 season opens Wednesday July 15th
You must have your registration code to complete the registration process.
